collegiate division details
The City of Madison and The University of Wisconsin have grown together to become one of the premiere sports destinations in the nation. The people of Madison have developed a deep pride in Badger Athletics, we all come together to cheer for Bucky. The CVT hopes to continue this tradition by giving Badger athletes the chance to compete with other collegiate athletes from around the Nation. To do this we have created a special Collegiate Division that will pit these athletes against each other to fight for their schools' pride. As this swim is in open water and not a pool, please be sure your child is able to swim at least the race distance, preferably more without stopping. We are containing the swim to the shallow end, but there may be points they won't be able to touch the bottom.
Transition
The swimmers will also exit the water through the exit arch and onto the grassy transition area near the adult transition area. They will put on their running shoes and shorts and t-shirt if desired and then start the run.
Run
The run course is on the trails of the state park on grass. The run course runs out and back. The runners will get to run through the finish chute at the end and all will be awarded a finisher medal. Post race festivities will be in the finishing area for enjoyment and fun for the whole family!
